How to Apply

Admissions to the program are on a rolling basis. There is no strict deadline; however, admission is competitive and there are a limited number of spots available in the program. We recommend applying to the program at least 4 months before you would like to match with a position.

Electronic transcripts, application materials and/or recommendation forms should be emailed to email@example.com. Email/electronic submission of materials is strongly encouraged. Do not wait to submit your online application until all supporting documents are obtained.

We are excited to receive your application! To increase your chances of acceptance to the program, please keep the following in mind.
What a qualified applicant looks like
We look at these three primary qualifications in ThriveAP+ applicants.
Each of the following application materials must be completed to move on to the next step in the application process, the phone interview. Each of these application materials are also taken in to consideration when making acceptance decisions. Please take your time and review your application materials before submitting to better your chance of moving on to a phone interview and being accepted to the program.

Online Application Form
Each applicant must complete the online application form (below). The more information you share with us, the easier it is for us to match you with your ideal location.
Your resume will be used in the ThriveAP+ matching process. We highly recommend modeling your resume after this sample to get your first impression with sites off to a good start. You can download the sample resume here.
A professional looking resume not only lets us know you are serious about applying,
it also lets your potential sites know you are serious about your career.
ThriveAP+ requires two recommendations. These must be completed by one professional and one academic reference or two professional references. Choose wisely as we take the recommendations heavily into consideration as we make acceptance decisions.
We need official graduate program transcripts. Haven’t graduated? No problem, send us your unofficial transcripts for now and we can get your official copy after you graduate.
This is an opportunity to communicate to ThriveAP your qualifications, interest and motivation for applying to the ThriveAP+ program. Each question should be answered honestly and completely. We do take grammar and content in to consideration when making acceptance decisions, so take your time. We want to make sure you will represent yourself well in the employment setting. We pay close attention to your resume, references and phone interview.
2. Academic Achievement
We look at your GPA and essays. We don't have a strict GPA cutoff but qualified applicants have a strong record of academic success.
3. Career plan/goals
We want to make sure that your career goals align with the program. This means that you’re interested in primary care, at least as a start to your NP career. We also want to know that you're committed to taking your clinical skill set to the next level.
